I swear to you, we're alive...9/26/2013 Hello again! Yes, I know it's been a while, over two months maybe even pushing three. Which is a bummer. But I swear to you we're alive! And big things are in the works, well at least big things are in the pre-production works. So here's a run down of everything that we have been working on during our absence. 1. Well, the Kickstarter was un-succesful. I have to believe it's due to a couple of things, one being us not being able to keep up with the up dates as promised. There was just so much involved that we had not planned on, or that we just didn't think would take up as much time as it did. So, that was our bad. The second, well it's kind of us again, we tried to go too big too quick. With the way that we set it up this was going to be a HUGE undertaking, and the prizes (er... rewards? incentives? fat loots?) were going to take up more time then actually drawing and coloring the comic. Which would have meant that we would have been scrambling to get each issue out to our lovely supporters, and the quality probably would not have been there. This doesn't mean that we won't be trying again... oh no, we'll be back. Just this next time we will be better prepared and further ahead of the game when we start. 2. Danielle was in an ART SHOW! YAY! Through the company that we work for she was able to show some of her pieces at the historic Flat Iron art building here in Chicago. While it wasn't a show just for her I still can't be more proud of her. She had a short amount of time and was able to come up with some new pieces that were absolutely amazing! Once we are able to we will get pictures of those works up on the site. 3.PRINTS! Yes that's right, we will have prints soon. We're going to start with some of the more "popular" ones like the one of Othello and Oliver, Harley Quinn, a few of Danielle's untitled pieces, and a new piece featuring our cat and mouse duo tentatively titled "This is my Cat, there are many like him, but this one is mine." (wow, that title may get cut down...drastically) We are getting quotes from different printers but hopefully these guys should run from ten dollars to twenty, depending on the size and all that fun stuff. 4.Finally, we're busily creating an online comic strip to tie into "Tails from Out There!" The purpose of this strip is to fill in the backstory of our heroes and to try and bring in more readers. We're planning on releasing them every week and then possibly twice a week if the work load isn't too much and we're able to produce them in the quality that we want. At the same time we are working on the actual comic book, which may seem crazy but it has to be done. Once the book is out the comic will be the filler for in between "issues", we're still trying to figure out how we would like to release the comic whether it be in trade paperback or what but hopefully that will come to us as we go. I apologize for the length of this post, there has been a lot of stuff going on in our lives and I didn't want people to think that we had given up on this since our Kickstarter didn't happen. I promise we are creating new art, and that we will be on here more often. The support that we got through our KS campaign and through FB has been incredible, we won't let you down and hopefully the best has yet to come. In the mean time, here's an image (unfinished) that I created trying to flesh out what Othello would look like as a younger mouse. In this picture he is geared up to go mine sniffing. Would you like to know more? Then stay tuned because this is only the beginning! Love, Drew
